Ian and Mark grow these late pink Chrysanthemums on their farm just down the lane from where I live.  I have bought my vege, eggs and flowers off these traditional Cornish men for the past 15 years and we have become quite good friends.  Somehow they stand for a special time in my life, when my children were small.  I have painted them here as they are going over, as this seems poignant to me and they do last for so long.  They are in a beautiful St Agnes Pottery jug I bought in a charity shop in Redruth one day and a little Scottish highland pottery coffee cup a dear friend from the north gave to me and I treasure.
