Georgie is an artist living and working in Cornwall. She likes to paint in oils and watercolour both in her studio and
en plein air, which combines her love of being in nature with practice of capturing the colours and light of the season and weather directly from life.
Georgie’s inspiration for painting traditional wooden boats and the sea comes from her family history and personal experience of sailing and building wooden boats. Since sailing into The Helford in 2012 on a boat she had built, Georgie has brought up her four daughters on the river.
She paints and works as a part time self-employed gardener on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. Her experiences of motherhood and life in Cornwall inspire and shape her art.
